Vending & industrial control

Vending machine software, HMI and PLC programming

Serqet is a Gloucestershire software consultancy that builds and maintains the software inside vending machines and other automated equipment: Weintek touchscreen HMIs programmed in EasyBuilder Pro, Siemens S7 PLCs programmed in TIA Portal, card-payment integration, and fleet telemetry that puts every machine on one live dashboard with alerts. We work for operators across the UK, on site and remotely.

If your machines came with software you cannot change, a supplier who no longer answers, or no way to see what a machine is doing without driving to it, this is the work we do.

What can Serqet do for a vending or automated-equipment business?

Six things, usually in this order. Each one stands on its own; together they give you machines you own, understand and can watch from anywhere.

HMI programming

Weintek cMT touchscreens built and maintained in EasyBuilder Pro: vend flows, admin screens, macros, data sampling, event logs, and every tag bound to the right PLC address.

PLC programming

Siemens S7-1200 and S7-1500 in TIA Portal. Structured, documented data blocks, simulator-validated before commissioning, with a register map you keep.

Payment integration

Contactless card terminals wired into the machine controller and reconciled against the payment provider so vend counts and takings match to the penny.

Telemetry without new hardware

Temperatures, dispense counts and events pulled from the panels your machines already have, over their existing remote-access tunnel, into one database.

Operations dashboards & alerts

One screen for the whole fleet: what sold, what is cold, what has gone quiet. Alerts by email or SMS, tuned to how your machines actually behave, not generic thresholds.

Recovery of locked software

When the manufacturer has gone or the source files are lost, we extract what is on the hardware, decode it and give you a documented, rebuildable copy.

Recent work

How do you take back control of a vending fleet when the software is locked?

A UK dairy vending operator runs a fleet of milk and milkshake machines across four counties. Each machine is built on a Weintek cMT touchscreen and a Siemens S7-1200 controller with a contactless card terminal. The software had been supplied as a sealed unit: no source files, a know-how-protected PLC program, and no way to change a screen, a price or a cleaning cycle without going back to the original supplier.

We extracted the HMI project from a panel on site, decompiled it cleanly in EasyBuilder Pro and recovered the complete address map, 687 tags, each one tied to its exact data block, byte and bit. We then rebuilt the touchscreen software (21 screens, compiling with zero errors and clicked through end to end in the simulator) and re-implemented the controller logic in TIA Portal, validated against a simulator of the original machine. Both are staged for commissioning behind the operator's own sign-off, because nothing goes onto a live machine that sells food until it has been proven offline.

Meanwhile, using only the remote-access service the panels already had, we began pulling live data from every machine: tank and fridge temperatures every ten seconds, and daily dispense counts. All 18 machines now report into one operations dashboard with an alert system that knows the difference between a machine having a quiet Tuesday and a machine that has actually stopped. A sister platform for a 27-site snack-vending operator, built on the same foundations, is live and reconciled to the penny against the card provider's records.

Questions operators ask us

Can Serqet program Weintek HMIs in EasyBuilder Pro?
Yes. We design, rebuild and maintain Weintek cMT-series touchscreen projects in EasyBuilder Pro, including customer-facing vend screens, admin and service screens, macros, data sampling, event logs and the tag bindings to the PLC. We can also recover and decode an existing project from the panel when the original source files are missing.
Do you work with Siemens PLCs?
Yes. We program Siemens S7-1200 and S7-1500 controllers in TIA Portal (structured text), validate logic in the simulator before it goes near a live machine, and document the full register map so the HMI, the PLC and any cloud system agree on every address.
What does vending machine telemetry from Serqet actually give me?
Live readings from every machine, without a new licence per unit where the hardware already supports it: tank and fridge temperatures, dispense counts, fault and event logs, and card-payment reconciliation, pulled into one operations dashboard with alerts by email or SMS when a machine goes quiet, runs warm or stops selling.
Can you add card payments to an existing machine?
Usually. We integrate contactless card terminals (for example Payter units over serial or MDB) with the machine controller and reconcile the payment provider's records against the machine's own vend counts so every sale is accounted for.
Where are you based and where do you work?
Serqet is based in Gloucestershire. We work on site across the UK for surveys, commissioning and changeovers, and remotely for everything else through the panel's own secure remote-access service.
What if my machines are from a manufacturer that no longer supports them?
That is the most common reason people call us. We recover what is on the hardware, document it, and rebuild or extend it so you own the software for your own machines going forward.
